Build High Performing Teams Podcast

Nov 26, 2019

All right, guys. You've all heard of imposter syndrome, but what do you do when you really don't recognize who you are anymore or you're just not feeling connected to your purpose or to your truth? We're going to talk to Emma Hicks today, who's an entrepreneur who's building an amazing brand around Camp Climb, who I've had the privilege of getting to know over the past year. Emma is a serial entrepreneur, brand manager, event host extraordinaire, and has always been passionate about pursuing her creativity. And we're going to hear from her a little bit about her truth, how she's balanced family, but more how she's built increased self-awareness, which is the number one predictor of success for you and me. So enjoy the episode.

And before I even had a name for that event, I reached out to Jenna, just told her what my dreams and visions passion were. And she said yes. So that was my motivation to keep building the brand and bringing visions to life because like if done, it's gonna be here and I'm gonna say yes to this.” At minute 17:01, Emma talks about how she used momentum in both her personal and professional life to reach out to respected colleagues, collaborate, and create Camp Climb. She knew that if other women she valued believed in the vision of Camp Climb that only affirmed the fact that she had to continue pursuing it.

“I don't regret any of these decisions that I made. You know, I think they made doors open even if I was inside, not feeling confident. But now that I have that connection with myself, it just comes so natural.” At 21:49, Emma talks about how she invested in her own personal development and how self discovery gave her confidence in both herself and her business.

“...when life is just throwing crap at you to realize that it's just a season and it's not going to be the same in a few months.” At minute 43:21, Emma talks about how to stay consistent and keep showing up when life can be overwhelming. Work flow can be stressful during seasons but time always passes.

Emma shared a lot of valuable information about how she is always trying to learn and grow in both her personal life and in her business. She also gave a lot of helpful tips to fellow entrepreneurs, so make sure to stay tuned!
